Welcome!
We're Booker 'Wings' Rangers, based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. We're a group of about 12 who meet about every fortnight in a local church hall.
What are Rangers?
Rangers is one of the many options within the Senior Section of Girlguiding UK. The Senior Section is anyone within GGUK who is aged between 14 and 26. There are many oppotunities avaliable and schemes to work on. Within our unit, we have girls who are working towards, or have completed Look Wider, Queen's Guide, Making it Count, Senior Section camp permit and the Leadership Qualification. Some of us have attended international events both in the UK and abroad. Many have visited the first World Centre, Our Chalet as Guides. Last summer, we had girls go to the county international camp, camps with the units which they help lead, Norway, Denmark and the INTOPS weekend, a selection weekend to go on a GOLD (Guiding Overseas Linked with Development) project.
Upcoming Ranger meetings
OK, so I haven't updated this bit for a while... Well, as next week is Gang Show week, we're not having another meeting until after Easter.
Upcoming outside events
We're also busy outside of our unit. It's Gang Show week again. This summer, members of the unit will be attending a county senior section weekend, and also the region international camp, Bridges.
