This picture shows just a few examples of things we have done, and are planning to do in the near future.

Activities
As well as the more sedate cooking, discussions and crafty stuff, we love the summer, when we get a chance to get out and try more adventurous stuff. Last September, our county ran a regatta for Guides and SS members on the Thames at Longridge, which we entered a team into. We have also done many other activities like archery, shooting and pioneering at camps we have been on.

Camping
Last summer, seven of us attended Odyssey 2001, an Anglia region camp for members of the Senior Section, at Chalfont Heights campsite. This summer, two of us will be going to our county international camp, Go Global. On the weekend of the county regatta, two of our members were assessed for, and passed, their Senior Section camp permits. They did this by planning and running a camp for some of the Guides in the unit that they are Young Leaders with. This enables them to take up to 8 Guides or Senior Section members away camping with them. These two then attended a county selection weekend the following weekend, where they, along with another Bucks Young Leader, were chosen to go forward to regional selection. Hear how they got on by visiting our news page.
